Basically a vote is ignored by the game when:
There’s little time to vote.
When two players vote for different maps
I believe this is intentional. I think it is setting up the map at those times.
What is happening that is making you think it is broken?
Because /vote is supposed to work, even when there are 10 seconds to vote. When two people contradict eachother on votes both are also ignored or the one to last have voted wins.
You’re saying it is not working without explaining what is happening that is not expected. Is it that the map selected is not what was expected or that the vote command is saying it’s not working, or something else.
Oh. It’s not selecting what it’s supposed to select.
How many people are there in the lobby, and how many people have voted for a specific map?
I haven’t experienced the bug a lot but the vote system seems to be buggy if there are more than one person.
Since it has been a while since you’ve been active on the forum, maybe you missed this update: GameModes v2.0.0
Voting was changed so that by default, everyone in the lobby has the equivalent of /vote on a random map (picked at the start of intermission). This means in a 12 player lobby, if only one person manually uses /vote, then it’s a 1/12 chance that their vote is the one that is picked.
On the other hand, in a 2 player lobby, if both players use /vote the map that is picked should be one of the two they voted for.

We are looking to improve the visibility of this functionality to not confuse people on why their vote did nothing.
