[Q1] Provide the Ban link or if none, the reason
Link: Ban
[Q2] Did you break the rules knowingly?
No, i see people in survival jokingly and casually say to /void. In the instances where I did say this, I was mainly just tacking onto the /void bait joke from other players. I wasnt aware this was a rule violation seeing how commonplace it is. I had assumed that the other more senior players wouldnt be breaking rules.
[Q3] Do you think your Ban was fair? If not, please provide a reason.
The moderator said that i “baited players to /void too often”. Seeing as (on phase) I have only ever said to /void twice, I dont believe this can possibly be the case.
[Q4] Why should we unban you?
I wont be doing that again. I’m trying to play survival in peace without causing issues.
It’s generally about you getting players to use /void, as you can see here in the phase chat. Why did you add to the /void that players using /void would get any items?
there was another player doing the same trick. i think there had been some newer player who was getting on our nerves by requesting resources repeatedly, so i wanted to make it more likely they would disconnect by affirming it would work. i would not have played along if i had realized /void was an issue with the rules. i ended up giving them some materials after they reconnected and didnt think about it again as they didnt seem terribly bothered.
Instead of responding to their pleas or ignoring them, you manipulated them into disconnecting themselves to get what exactly out of it?
You also said that you gave them material after they reconnected. Why didn’t you do that from the beginning? Why did you have to ask them to /void first?
thats true. i was gonna give them the things either way but had gotten weary of beggars and since someone else decided to do that, i jumped onto the bandwagon. i can see that yeah this wasnt very necessary. they were gone for like a minute tops. there is no reason i had to, i just signal boosted someone elses malice out of annoyance. i would agree this isnt very helpful and seeing as the point of my handing out resources is to be helpful and generally make a better survival experience, i see this as counterproductive.
I see that you understood why you were banned. To prevent something like this from happening again:
Can you read the rules and quote the rule(s) you broke? Do this in a new reply, don’t edit your appeal. If you do not know how to quote the rules, read the guide How to quote the rules.
If you do not identify the right rule(s) that you broke or you do not know which ones you broke, I can make it clear.
Please be sure not to do such things anytime in the future
Do you understand why what you did broke the rules stated?
Do you understand how you can avoid breaking them again?
Do you agree that you will not break the same rules in the future?
Do you understand that if in the future you break any of the rules that you were banned for already, that you will not be able to appeal again (unless the ban was a mistake or due to extenuating circumstances)?
Yeah. I contributed to an effort (S0#6) to disrupt and harm another player’s experience (S0#4)
I can refrain from repeating the same thing (/void bait in this instace) and pay more attention to scrutinizing what others are saying before jumping on.
I agree to not break these rules in the future. I am a little dense and bad at communicating on these matters or immediately understanding things so I appreciate your patience.
