Yeah , but actually you can beat ocram in Early Hardmode, and also The duke, aside that, beating them will not unlock new bosses, unlike golem that unlock upgraded dungeon,allowing the Pumpkin moon and the horrible present

U wrong it suppose to be after beating plantera u will unlock naughty pressent, pumpkin medal, golem, and upgrade dungeon

Can help using a sword when they are close, terrablade is the best i think,
Or a flail like the flower one, just run for a moment and then use the flail
Or in a extreme case, search for a crimson key, the vampire knives are very OP in 1.2,
If you are ranged also some (chester?) the piercing arrows help

Hecc i just got jungle key then i open the jungle chest and i got TRASH! In 1.2 i suppose to get piranha gun

Duke Fishron was the true final boss of Terraria 1.2. Not only was Duke Fishron harder, but he also dropped better items than Golem as well. In fact, Fishron weapons and Fishron Wings were the best items in the game in version 1.2.

the duke is 100x harder then ocram.
also, for the Servants, i used the Paladins Hammer (it and all non Sniper weapons had auto-fire).

I used terrablade and play with friend (2 player) and yes i havent beat duke fishron in 1.2 cuz it really hard

it took me a while. i found a sneaky exploit where potion sickness passes even when you pause (there is always autopause in DS) and pairs well with the 
Horn o’ plenty which is infinite use. I didnt over use it for reasons

You updated to the era where Turkor and the food item were gone. It happens alot, where items in 1.2 turn into things that are in the next update.

Its called the Sharanga 
and yes, they do shoot that. I never used it because i played Melee on my run. Its made with 2 Molten Furies 
and 10 hellstone bars
