Because Terraria is Terraria, and there is Terra in it’s name. Terra Blade is also a thing inside Terraria, so the real question is why does apple make not orange juice when mom’s dad’s sister’s nephew’s niece’s uncle’s grandfather’s husband’s wife’s friend’s cousin makes baby diapers?

Golem was supoced to be the final boss of terraria 1.2…
But then 1.3 came and we have moon-lord
The concept of a type of cult in the jungle wasn’t enought deep,so they put something similar to the illuminati, that was the cultist and the moonlord
The golem just stayed there because makes reference to reeptilians
