I’ll start, How do you create a post without replying?
I assume by this you mean replying to another person.
You can just reply to the original post, which I don’t think shows up as a reply, although it does in the notification.

When you push the clicky part up, the laws of physics move a part of it to the right, causing it to get stuck on one of those spiky things when you let go. This makes the entire pen go up by a bit, where it gets in contact with a slinky, which pushes the pen back down a bit when it goes to far. When you click it again, the pen goes up, moves to the right a bit (causing the tiny part with rods on the sides to get un-stuck from the spiky thing) and letting the pen go down.
