I didn’t read the rules at the beginning because I never joined the discord and was told by other players that I wasn’t as bad as people were making me out to be so no.
[Q3] Do you think your Ban was fair? If not, please provide a reason.
My ban was not fair because where’s my third? By the second warning I slowed down as requested by truthful or whatever that guy’s name. I have witnesses. I complained about it yes but I slowed down as requested. Truthful probably didn’t know because he wasn’t online to witness it.
[Q4] Why should we unban you?
Because I heeded the second warning. Truthful was not there to witness it
Well, you were given a second warning (that being me writing on the sign. On that topic, no, I didn’t touch your house besides adding the sign), but from what I saw you kept going anyways even after you received it:
Did you really? I read back through chat, and seemingly less than 10 minutes after you read and acknowledged the warning you were both swearing again and swearing directly at another player.
In my defence, I thought you griefed my house- so I got mad and I have anger issues so I kinda over reacted, so I found out it was Avan not you, but you’ll see after that my swearing slowed down but you wouldn’t go check that out, only the first few messages of me finding the sign. If you compare from how I was before the first warning to after the second. You’ll notice a difference
Also also I actually didn’t know that it was in the rules because well, I’m not in the discord and I didn’t really think that I was genuinely breaking any rules because I’ve seen ppl get away with worse in their native tongue
that guy I told to shut up was being an anus himself, I don’t believe anyone has gotten mad at me swearing either, it was just you. But now that I was made aware of the rules and the profanity thing, I now know what not to do so c’mon, gimmie a 3rd fair warning?
Gotcha, gotcha, that’s fair. I end up missing a lot of those so at least from me they end up going unpunished a lot of the time. Especially if they’re not reported.
All I can suggest is to control yourself for the future. Other players breaking the rules doesn’t mean it’s fine to do it yourself.
I guess consider the ban your 3rd warning, especially now that we got to have a direct talk about it. If you’re willing to change, sure, we can move on.

“Profanity and related language is to be used rarely and is not to be used towards other players” I got it. Also I got anger issues so I have little outbursts here and there. I’ll try to keep it under control. I just didn’t think the whole thing was a big deal since I got reassured by some dude (forgot his name) saying I’m fine and I don’t need to stress. This was when I didn’t read the rules so I didn’t think or realise that this was a punishable offence. And one more thing, if you look at the chat logs, I translated all the things a player called ‘ddtedd’ said. It’s pretty bad. Ion wanna be a snitch but if Imma get punished for saying fuck, he should be reported aswell
One right rule, wrong method of delivery. It needs to be quoted so it’d look something like the text blocks done previously. Or, if going from another topic, like this:

Anyways sorry for breaking those rules even though I didn’t read the rules and other members assured me that I’d be fine swearing.
I’ll repeat it again but with emphasis on the more important part: each rule needs to be quoted specifically from the rules post, not copied and pasted so that we can confirm where you got it from. Check the guide I previously linked for how to quote the rules proper so that we can proceed.
Eh, arguably. But it also kind of falls under rule 6 even though it’s much more gross in nature.

Btw sorry for the swear in the second post- I’m used to swearing, I’ve grown up with it and it’s literally in me. Irl and in game, this isn’t me tryna get a pass- I will truely try to keep it PG. I’m just sayin’ it’s a Lil bit hard for me to stop completely
One more thing, why don’t you punish half the people that swears like a drunken sailor? The hell? Why does it feel like I was the the chosen one to be punished? I’ve read some of the ban appeals. I’ve only seen 2 other people that have been banned because of swearing. How is this fair. Also I’m not tryna be a dick or snobby, I’m simply curious because it sure feels like I’m one of the only ones actually being dealt with. What about the people in zombies? Do you guys have a clue of what goes on in there? Slurs left n right. It’s insane

The extremely short answer, we miss a lot of things. Just in general. For some reasons why:
The server is perpetually understaffed by pure numbers. Both in terms of how many people we have for moderation as well as timezone diversity. It’s not just chat toxicity in Zombies and similar, there’s rampant cheating there too that tends to go unhandled
We’re not online watching all the time or even doing stuff on the server, there’s lots of other things this links back to (server development being slow, players of all kinds like newbies, regulars, staff members, coming and going for any number of reasons etc.)
We’re never going to be able to get everything. For what it’s worth if it feels targeted, I’m sorry. If we could just push a button to be able to fix the problems immediately, that’d be nice, but that’s not an option we have. As a result, the most obvious problems are the ones that get attention, and lots of stuff falls to the wayside or is ignored completely.
