I still don’t get what you mean

I mean, if you don’t like the upgrades, I don’t blame you. But you should suggest changes to the upgrades instead of something that replaces it.

There’s several approaches to try and making this bot work, but analyze their drawbacks

  • We could, separate it into different bot boosters. But that would just be upgrades.
  • We could keep it as it is, but it’s multi-purpose function means we have to nerf it to the ground.

Or possible variations. For example, a Buffer sentry, though that’s for another time.

And yeah, some sentry upgrades could do some work. For one, Bank Sentries always have 100 hp, which means they’ll get one shot in later rounds. Though whether that is significant depends on your strat.

Whether or not a map supports an ability is not the creator’s fault. Abilities were created with independence in mind. While it is nice for map creators to try and support them, we don’t force that on them. It’s purely their choice.

Prices are ok, it can be hard only if you upgrade single sentry

Diabolists go brr

You should create optimization for most map

Again, that’s purely their choice and they don’t have to do it. Also please don’t shame map creators if they don’t allow x ability.

There is no reason for this; maps are just builds made by whoever wanted to submit them. Most maps don’t cater to any specific ability (or block one). If you want to do that with yours, there’s no reason to stop you, but nobody else is meant to optimize their map as much as possible.

I said it about sentry

Why it cannot be just added few more sentries to make it useful for most maps

I dont know what you mean, are you saying that this would improve the effectiveness of Sentry? It already seems pretty balanced (in comparison to other abilities) to me.

Your opinion, but there’s abilities that more useful and balanced, easier say abilities, that less useful and balanced like guardian, valiant, (cant remember more)

Lets discuss about booster, k

Calm down. Read this reply. I explained why Booster sentry wouldn’t work great and you should suggest changes to the underlying system.

We also explained that sentries simply won’t work on some maps. And that’s not the map creator’s fault. We also won’t do anything if they actively try to prevent an ability. So please don’t send hate to either the Zombies Map Builders or the Zombies Managers.

One of the core ideas of Abilities is Map Independence. So adding a sentry specifically geared for Map Compatibility is weird.

As a final note, I want to say that the problems I pointed out is with the sentry itself. Not about map compatibility or how balanced its statistics are.

I suggest any changes, but only for boost sentry

I don’t send hate (atleast cuz i waiting to get ZMB perms). I asking for example delete self-destroy for nade, to make it more playful

K, but include, that it also costs, and cannot self-protect

Where do you place nades? I suggest placing them on a higher ground (where the nade falls down) to avoid this. And once it reaches cannon stage just put it farther away, the elevation doesn’t matter

Or it wont trigger or won’t reach enemy

I believe 20 blocks is a very generous distance

Very stupid, hard distance

Then I suggest making a suggestion increasing it. Being (Passive-)Aggresive when people are giving you advice on your suggestion won’t help. Me and countless others have already pointed out the problems but yet none you have tried to solve

Nade has 3 minuses

  1. Low projectile speed and cuz that grenade just stops on halfway
  2. Self-destroy.
  3. Low trigger distance

And yes, thats all in booster submission

Fixing 2 of these troubles will delete 3rd

You don’t have to add a whole new sentry just because of one’s flaws… Just make a suggestion that addresses those problems.

I created boost sentry submission not cuz that

One of the special things about sentry is that each sentry has a specialty. For example, Tank brings enemies into one spot and protects you. Minigun + Bank makes money. Snipe is good for high health enemies, especially flying enemies. Emitter repels enemies from a spot.

The point i’m trying to make is that sentry needs strategy, and with good strategy it rewards you. All the sentries have special purposes that you need to know how to use. It’s a fun ability because it almost replaces the weapons and point chest system, and because of this it needs strategy and variety, which it has.

However, there is no situation where booster is specifically good. It doesn’t need strategy. You basically would just have to buy it and upgrade it when upgrade costs are high, because its better than upgrading a lot of the time. I can’t see it being fun in any way.
