[Q1] Provide the Ban link or if none, the reason
Link: Ban
[Q2] Did you break the rules knowingly?
Yes.
[Q3] Do you think your Ban was fair? If not, please provide a reason.
No; I was maintaining the integrity of a 1v1 dueling environment with due communication on the part of the player I was playing against. Messages within the scope of “r” and “ready” indicate that both players can begin combat. Relaying my intent and status to another player in a game mode subset hosted on Dark Gaming that requires said messages to be communicated does not justify a ban.
[Q4] Why should we unban you?
In addition to the statement I provided in regards to whether I believe my ban was fair or not, I would like to convey that my ban is only justifiable from a viewpoint of someone wholly estranged from a social community and the overall culture revolving player vs player etiquette - the spam filter is egregious in what it filters if it indicates something as necessary as a ready check as spam.
As I am not a current active staff member, I do not see it within my right to judge or comment in favor of or against this appeal, HOWEVER, I do feel it necessary to comment on the reason this ban was triggered in the first place, being the ‘subversion’ of antispam by saying “r” and similar.
This has been a repeated issue on PvP for a very long time, and in light of the Duel Gamemode being entirely unfunctional for many weeks now, I took it upon myself as a PvP Manager to rig up a “Ready” switch in every duel arena we currently have warps to.
This switch sends a firework to your opponents bed, signifying you are ready without you having to type anything into chat.
Regardless of how fair or unfair this ban is, this is NOT AN ISSUE THAT SHOULD HAPPEN AGAIN.
Spamming “r” in chat with antispam subversion will, going forward, be a pretty blatant thing with minimal discretion involved.
Can you read the rules and quote the rule(s) you broke? Do this in a new reply, don’t edit your appeal. If you do not know how to quote the rules, read the guide How to quote the rules.
If you do not identify the right rule(s) that you broke or you do not know which ones you broke, I can make it clear.
Do you understand why what you did broke the rules stated?
Do you understand how you can avoid breaking them again?
Do you agree that you will not break the same rules in the future?
Do you understand that if in the future you break any of the rules that you were banned for already, that you will not be able to appeal again (unless the ban was a mistake or due to extenuating circumstances)?
