Eater Of Words's Appeal

[Q1] Provide the Ban link or if none, the reason
Link: Ban

[Q2] Did you break the rules knowingly?
No, I did not even know the rules and if they were put in front of me, at the time i did not know how to use multiplayer.

[Q3] Do you think your Ban was fair? If not, please provide a reason.
It was for advertising but i was calling a scammer those things and trying to get him to go somewhere… horrible. he scammed 20+ platinum out of people, and i wasnt advertising the site but trying to give the scammer brain damage, so im neutral on this.

[Q4] Why should we unban you?
So i can get a link to the rules and read all of them and i will stop breaking rules, and i promise i will not break a single rule ever again. im sorry for what i did and the language i used. dont go to the website i mentioned, and i will stop chatting about bad things and ignore the scammer, and if you want to ban the scammer his name was fable001. end of appeal.

So why not report the player instead? First, a malicious player likely wouldn’t stop whatever they’re doing after a minor time waste, but if there was some punishment from a staff member given instead (warning or otherwise), then they’d probably be more inclined to stop. If you were wondering where you do that there’s a sign at spawn that points to the Dark Gaming Discord server for if you need help:

Second, someone else breaking the rules does not mean you get to do the same. Under that context when would it be fine to try and get someone to visit that website, just in general?

First, i probably need screenshots to use the report a player topic, second, please understand the fact i did not know the rules, but ive read the entire thing now in which i know what not to do, third, it would not be, but please read the answer i made of Q1 cause i did not read the rules until i found the link to them, but to truly answer your question, no it wouldnt.

Thanks for doing that at least. You can use /rules to check the rules topic on the server for future reference, and for reporting rulebreaking players you can do that either on the Discord server through the dedicated channel #player-reports or create a topic here on the forums in the category for it:

Either of those are the better course for volunteer action, yeah? Just keep that in mind for the future.

Can you read the rules and quote the rule(s) you broke? Do this in a new reply, don’t edit your appeal. If you do not know how to quote the rules, read the guide How to quote the rules.

If you do not identify the right rule(s) that you broke or you do not know which ones you broke, I can make it clear.

  1. Do you understand why what you did broke the rules stated?

  2. Do you understand how you can avoid breaking them again?

  3. Do you agree that you will not break the same rules in the future?

  4. Do you understand that if in the future you break any of the rules that you were banned for already, that you will not be able to appeal again (unless the ban was a mistake or due to extenuating circumstances)?

  1. I do not know what “why what” means in this specific sentence. im just going to see the message as “do you understand why you broke the rules stated?” as the reason i did was to try and get the scammer off the server for what he did. 2. Yes. i can do 1 of 3 things, just stop talking entirely except when someone will need help or when i need items after the restart due to me being only off on the weekend, OR i can chat and make sure i dont break any rules, And of course i can just stop talking entirely and do other stuff. 3. Yes. 4. Yes. (this took me 10 minutes to write)

To slightly reword the question, then: do you understand how what you did broke the rules?
