Bumma T.F.G's Appeal

[Q1] Provide the Ban link or if none, the reason
Link: Ban

[Q2] Did you break the rules knowingly?
No i was playing and logged out only to come in the next day and i was banned so no, i did not break the rules knowingly, i learned about the fact that /void was something you could get banned for after my ban so atleast someone could have told me it was an issue

[Q3] Do you think your Ban was fair? If not, please provide a reason
no, i do not think my ban was fair since i mostly played survival and would ussually help new players and be nice in chat, and other people were telling people to /void so i did not think it was a big deal only to get banned a bit later.

[Q4] Why should we unban you
i did not know that /void was an issue and as i mentioned earlier other people were doing it and the most time someone left the game because of me telling them to /void was at most a minute and a half and everything was endgame so telling them to /void wasn’t even that big of a deal, see the reason i was banned was because i was telling people to /void and that in itself might be a big deal but i believe some fault falls on mods /developers of this server because if you want a command you either make it always okay to tell people to do or give a heads up if as i said earlier you tell people to do the command so i apologize to the people i voided, i am sorry i did not know it was a big issue, but i believe the mods should look into this a bit more and make a warning for telling people to /void

So i might have just learned that telling people to /void is bannable and for that i apologize to everyone i voided

If you were helping new players, being nice, then why were you directly telling so many to essentially kick themselves from the server? Is that being nice to their time and efforts playing?

No one told me no’r did i get a warning about so i thought it wasn’t bannable atleast give me a heads up, and i was doing it as a joke since the run basically ended we were just chilling.

I have witnesses to support that i helped new players

Btw mods should make ban appeal question none editable because anyone can make an appeal without any questions that is definetly an issue

Well, I guess you got your heads up in one way.

Sometimes extra details are handy to have around after the initial appeal is published. That, or just the appellee fixing up their appeal, that needs to happen sometimes as well.

To address another part now since you’d written some more:

Mhm, I can see that. On the other side, though, the average player would only find out about /void through someone else telling them since it’s not listed in the command list with /help, nor is it something really obvious that a lot of servers would have like a free items command. There isn’t a rule on it specifically yet because cases of players deliberately telling other random players to use /void are few and far between, so it’s only loosely covered by some of the other rules as of now, rules that are expected to at least be loosely followed so that the community can self regulate. Now you know, so we can move on if there’s nothing else to discuss.

Can you read the rules and quote the rule(s) you broke? Do this in a new reply, don’t edit your appeal. If you do not know how to quote the rules, read the guide How to quote the rules.

If you do not identify the right rule(s) that you broke or you do not know which ones you broke, I can make it clear.

Btw tru3thful i meant by appeal questions should be none editable i meant the “[Q1] put a ban link” not the thing the appellee wrote

That one’s… not really it? /void is usable everywhere and trolling with it everywhere is disallowed. The more relevant rule is this one:

There’s also an argument for section 0, rule 1, but S0#4 covers it too, so… eh, yeah, you get the idea. It’s not wanted but it doesn’t come up often enough to have its own rule yet.

  1. Do you understand why what you did broke the rules stated?

  2. Do you understand how you can avoid breaking them again?

  3. Do you agree that you will not break the same rules in the future?

  4. Do you understand that if in the future you break any of the rules that you were banned for already, that you will not be able to appeal again (unless the ban was a mistake or due to extenuating circumstances)?
