Hello everyone! This is NiteMare, and today i want to talk about (possibly) the best game of 2015. I am going to rank every boss, from my least favorite to my favorite. The only 2 rules is no genocide bosses that are originally from the neutral route (they die in 1 hit) and I’m judging neutral bosses based on the pacifist version of the fight (sparing, not killing). This is based off TheOwnersOfTriforce’s Zelda rankings. Without further ado, let’s Begin. SPOILER ALERT
Undyne The Undying: I absolutely hate this boss. I already hate Undyne as a character, but in this fight any personality she had is completely gone in favor of just wanting revenge. This fight is also an insane difficulty curve. I raged more times on this boss than any other fight in the game. The fight is insanely long as well. Enough said
Mettaton Neo: Dies in one hit. Next boss!
Napstablook: This is the hardest fight in the ruins. it is still pretty easy. The music is pretty good. they actually remix this theme 3 times and they play at other parts of the game. Whatever you do, don’t ignore his hat!
So Sorry: This is the hardest boss to fight. You need to find a secret passage in Hotland, set your computer time to October 10, 8:00 PM, and read a sign. The fight is nothing special. I think it’s funny how whenever he tries to help you, he accidentally attacks you in some way.
Toriel: There, I said it. I don’t like Toriel’s boss fight. Basically you have to spare Toriel about 20 times to win. you can’t die in this fight unless you try. Toriel will stop attacking you when you reach 2 HP. I think I’ve made my point.
Undyne: This fight is MUCH better than it’s genocide counterpart. The difficulty is fair and you have to think outside the box to figure out a way to spare her.
Mad Dummy: This entire boss is hilarious. You’re fighting a ghost inside a dummy. That alone is hilarious. He’ll start by creating small dummies to shoot you. You need to make them hit the dummy back. The dummy will eventually start to move. After a bit, he’ll start using homing rocket dummies. again, you have to make them hit him back. also the music is the second remix of Napstablook’s theme you will hear.
Papyrus: Just like the Mad Dummy, this fight is hilarious. You have to flirt with him while fighting. Papyrus will make you blue, which forces you to jump over his bones. A very unique mechanic. The music is also pretty great.
Muffet: This fight is very unique. She turns you purple and forces you to travel along note lines like a song. The music is also the last remix of Napstablook’s theme.
Mettaton EX: This is by far the funniest fight in the game. Mettaton is Faaaabulous. you need to raise the ratings to 10,000 to win the fight. Things can effect the ratings positively or negatively. And the last thing I want to say about this boss. DAT MUSIC.
Asgore: This fight is amazing. At the very beginning of the fight, he destroys the mercy button, making it one of the only neutral bosses you HAVE to fight. His attacks are souped up versions of Toriel’s attacks with some new ones added into the mix.
Omega Flowey: This boss is almost as weird as Giygas. I can’t really explain the boss, so just watch this video instead.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL5STXqyBK4
Asriel Dreemur: This boss. THIS FREAKING BOSS. I have not seen many things more epic than this boss. The backstory, the gameplay, the visuals, the music, the attacks. All of it is INCREDIBLE.
Sans. This was a close one between Asriel Dreemur and Sans, but Sans eventually won. This fight makes you feel bad about your actions. it is by far the hardest boss in the game. He does 1 damage, but there are no invincibility frames. It can easily turn into 30 or 40 damage if you don’t avoid it. He is the only enemy that dodges your attacks. The music, Megalovania, is possibly the best song in the game. Truly the greatest boss in Undertale.
