In the server, you cannot post color tags while in-game.
Example: [c/ff00ff:Hello] turns into [*c/ff00ff:Hello]

The asterisk obstructs the format of the color tag.
If this is an intended feature, is there a reason why this is a thing?

This is intended to stop people from getting around the use of colors from the trading system
