Survival Boss Progression Poll

The poll result is not a decisive change, it will most likely be used for testing and experimentation resets depending on the results.

This post is mainly to hear Survival Players opinion on the current Boss Progression and Anti-Rush mechanism, whether it should be removed or Bosses should have a different progression.

Survival Dimension is known for having players who like to rush bosses, and others that like to play it smoothly and follow a time progression. So I thought of a way to fix both issues, by removing Anti-Rush and apply modified changes to Bosses if they are spawned before the main time nerf. Modified changes include replacing projectiles, replacing enemies, applying debuffs. Do keep in mind Boss Rushing would require dedication and preparation as they won’t be easy and will not be done in every reset.

For players who are unaware of what Anti-Rush is, it is a DG Survival mechanism that prevent Bosses being spawned if their Strength multiplier is above 1.5, Boss Strength can be checked in game using /strength command

  • It is currently fine as it is, progressions changes are not needed
  • Some Bosses values should be changed, Anti-Rush stays active
  • Anti-Rush should be removed, however Bosses get new mechanism in order to hinder easy progression and possibly bring Moon Lord speedruns back
