I made this topic because this horrible prejudice against the summon is unacceptable. I am not afraid to shame anybody who dares insult my favorite class. Here’s a list of the classists:

I mean, lightning aura staff is pretty good. I’ve watched it shred people who ignore it (Honestly my favorite weapon in pvp)
Also, I think these people might be a bit classist because summoner was never meant to be used in PVP.

eh, i feel like melee is a bit overrated, mainly because it requires zero skill and you can just facetank everything, but i guess light melee is a good class

Why are you referencing me on this, I was referring to me playing survival not pvp, its just my opinion. The comment above is also an opinion, everyone is entitled to one, just saying.

Summoner (disregarding sentrys) will never and should never be useful in pvp, it would be to easy. You shouldn’t try to force something to be easy that was never good to start with.
Lesson of the day: summoner isn’t useful nor convenient for pvp and never will be.

Only reason I’m classist towards summoner and highly annoyed by spammers is mainly because having a terrible or older phone means anything that is summoned whether it be projectiles, summons, entities, players, pets, ect causes stupid amounts of lag and makes the game damn near unplayable and frankly unenjoyable. Me having a phone that cannot be unplugged since it dies at 90% makes things much worse especially if I am trying to get a stable internet connection to counteract the lag spikes.

one thing thats so annoying is that people say summoner class is terrible or useless or bad without actually using it properly or even using it at all

I’m ok with summoner in the base game, very little grinding, little to no pain. It’s just that summoner has no reason to be strong in pvp.

In my view, I see ranger and mage as the best classes for survival and mage being my favorite. I love how absurdly strong mage is in prehardmode and some point post plantera, melee and mage are really different to each other, melee is complete garbage at early game and grows into the best class at endgame, however mage works opposite of that.
I think summoner class doesn’t have enough damage potential at some stages of the game and I mainly use it to afk farm.
