Why i saw a lot of people wear solar flare armor in pvp?

Itā€™s a fairly okay armor, although itā€™s not the best for PvP. However, in the vanilla game itā€™s basically the best by far excluding the other luminite sets, which is usually why noobs wear it (equivalent of trying to use zenith with no knowledge of DG, except Solar Flare works).

I mean, I usually just attempt to tank the damage or use the Solar Flare Chestplate for the most possible damage output. But I mainly have this as my setup. Alright I dont actually know where my helmet went but I know with this armor setup, itā€™s higher damage than full Solar Flare

For tanking damage, I mainly use the full turtle armor (if the ā€œattacker takes full damageā€ is actually available) using regen items and Warding modifiers

Pretty sure it isnā€™t, then if someone killed you wouldnā€™t they die?

Looking at the wiki, it looks like it is, but only from melee/contact(?) damage, which means it wouldnā€™t happen all the time. Also, it might be just removed in DGā€™s PvP similar to how the shroomite helmets donā€™t have their ability either.
