Hm. So the server’s very laggy as of right now. Geolindrag has apparently tested that Sentry ability in Zombies will lag the server very much for some reason. But I want some more concrete proof of this. What if you remove the Sentry ability from zombies for a bit (maybe a week to max a month) to see if the lag issues persist for the time that Sentry is removed? Just a suggestion. (TL:DR remove sentry to see if sentry is the reason server is very laggy)
For this kind of issue it’s good to know:
- If you are in the EU or US DG region
- If you are experiencing lag issues in more than one dimension
After some testing of my own I do believe sentries may contribute to why the servers have been crashing. It impacts both EU and US regions and all game modes. I’ve tested games without sentries and some with and I don’t think its a coincidence how games using the ability have been significantly more prone to crashes. That and the whole server just died a few seconds ago after a hardcore rapid game with 2-3 players using sentries.. I don’t know the reason why nor do I have any IT knowledge to understand why, but removing the ability would be a good test to check if there’s any correlation.
Also Zombies is currently unplayable: “Lobbies are not currently available due to an error.”
