RFC: multiple vote reminders

I’ve recently updated the Discord vote reminder to ping at 00:00 (12AM) Eastern Time, which is when terraria-servers.com resets their votes.

I’m planning to add more vote reminders(separate vote roles) to avoid pinging people at midnight or other inconvenient times. Two additional reminders are planned currently: one for London (UK) and one for Manila (Philippines), each scheduled to ping at 20:00(8PM) local time.

The last one is still up for debate, but I’m thinking of either

  • 20:00 Central Time (Dallas, Chicago, Minneapolis), or
  • 20:00 Uzbekistan Standard Time (Tashkent).

The latter bridges the gap between London and Manila, and the former is scheduled at a more convenient time for the US eastern coast. Nevertheless, I’m open to suggestions.

For reference, these are all the times of day the role will be pinged in your local time zone

  • 5:00 AM – Eastern Time (New York)*
  • 8:00 PM – London*
  • 12:00 PM – Manila, Philippines
  • 2:00 AM – Central Time*
  • 3:00 PM – Tashkent, Uzbekistan

*: Subject to fluctuate with daylight saving time

If this suggestion is implemented, the original vote role will be rescheduled and will become the role for London.

Ooh, seems good to have different voting times.

And it might probably mean that ill stop reacting to all the voting posts with “AMOGUS”

Suggestion implemented. Refer to the following list for the times at which the roles are pinged (in your local timezone).

  • Vote (Reset) – 5:00 AM
  • Vote (London) – 8:00 PM
  • Vote (Manila) – 12:00 PM
  • Vote (US Central) – 2:00 AM
