There is absolutely no reason for there to be antispam in a Zombies MB lobby, and in this case, it distracted me enough to not focus on not dying. Removing it would help alot, as its hard to talk in long sentences due to enemies. Theres alot to be said about antispam but uhh at least in -mb lobbies, they should just be completely voided in my opinion
I personally would vouch for anti spam to be removed as a whole from the zombies dimension
yeah i didnt consider that, but its a pretty good idea. when people spam in chat, they typically do it for attention, via interrupting the flow of chat. this doesnt happen in Zombies lobbies, as there are only 12 people in there max (and even then its usually 7 on average). Additionally, theres even more of a valid reason to make multiple short messages in there, due to the fact that writing long messages is difficult in situations where a safe place to type is hard to find.
Side note, i could swear anti-spam wasnt always in Zombies map builder lobbies. how do i scream into the void when im alone in zombies map builder lobbies now?
I think that it should not be totally removed but rather configured entirely differently. That is, a high threshold in lobbies only to ensure that someone doesn’t flood chat completely, because I’m not sure if this is protected against without it or not.
I’ve been playing for quite a long time and I have never had a case of someone spamming or actually flooding chat in zombies gamemode, the few times I’ve seen someone send many messages has been to show a new player around. Most casual players don’t really use chat, it is mainly a part of the registered members and regulars, so anti spam being disabled in zombies isn’t really a bad idea. I’m fine with it staying if it becomes more letient and doesn’t obstruct actual communication, but totally removing it is also fine in my opinion.
Forgot about that. I think yeah it should just be made way more lenient. The autospam should exist, but only in such a way that you would obviously have to be spamming maliciously to trigger it.
This is of course for normal lobbies, map builder lobbies should, as i said, not have the restrictions at all.
