Zombies lobby chats are self-contained, so if a player does spam it won’t disturb the entire server. Plus, Zombies is a gamemode in which communication is important. You’ll often repeat yourself, sending short messages like “Shaman ready” or just “Yes” or “No”, so antispam is annoying when it mutes you for “Spamming short messages.”

Bumping this. This is an increadibly annoying anti-feature. Spam has never been a problem during the 6-7 years that I’ve been playing Zombies.

Hmm… Yeah, I should… But I’m so preoccupied with other games like Monster Hunter Wilds or Warframe that I don’t find time to play Terraria anymore.
Just like how Sertastic and Durtle or whoever is working on Zombies these days keeps holding off on the big changes like replacing Sand Elementals (or have they done that and I haven’t heard about it?) Not to bash on them though, don’t ban me please
I do have a map idea in mind, but my computer is so slow and dusty and I don’t know if it will work anymore following end of support for Windows 10…
But really, all of this are just excuses for me not to play Terraria. I really should play Terraria again. But I won’t. Maybe next year? Maybe not. ARRGGH

Most of the staff members, especially Sertastic, have advocated for this exact change.
All implementations are up to Durtle, and if the past repeats itself, Durtle will once again refuse to remove or lessen the antispam due to the fact that Zombies wasn’t ever meant to not have antispam.

Small correction, the removal is up to Rofle. I’ve already been through this with Durtle months ago and it all comes down to Rofle in the end. I’ve brought it up again some days ago so we are looking into it.
