Yesterday 1.4.5.6 testing has commenced with the PvP dimension. One of the final dimensions to be updated. As part of this testing we are running PvP over on the EU server, so expect your ping to be different. We will return it the US server once testing is over.
For any new issues introduced, you can post about them below. The aim is to fix the majority of them before testing is completed.
The duel mode is expected to be updated and re-enabled at the tail end of this testing since it is essentially running the same changes.
Note: When I say EU or US server, this just means the location where it is physically hosted. It is accessible all the same whether you join from the EU region or US region.
I have no idea what’s a problem with DG, and what is related to 1.4.5 so I’m going to just jot down things that have come up recently.
If they are better off on their own forum posts let me know and I will remove them or make a new original post.
Players who do not have knockback resistant accessories/armor equipped are sent flying as far rightwards as possible when taking knockback
Scrying Orb MUST be removed from Duel Dimension, BUT is a generally fine tool for FFA & PvP Dimension usage. If it could be restricted in Duel but not FFA that would be great, but if not then so be it. It is similarly useful for staff to watch players for cheating.
Cattiva can be summoned despite being banned, and copies the damage of the currently held weapon rather than the damage the Cattiva itself has
Killing Deck (and many other weapons) also inherent the damage of the currently held weapon as opposed to the damage they are intended to deal
Lunar Hook’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hook inherit the velocity of held weapon
Night’s Edge & Excalibur projectile does not display properly
Weapon velocities when updated to reflect vanilla values changing must be reset in the PvP Manager after being adjusted before they are updated in-game
If use a warp or teleport command immediately after turning PvP off while it is still enabled, the teleport and spider web debuffs will loop.
This is a common used by FFA players to move to duel maps.
Potion of Return, Cell Phone, Shellphone, Magic Mirror, Ice Mirror, and Recall Potions function perfectly normal despite being banned in the PvP Manager (and being banned in the past)
Chum Bucket does not ban properly (banned for lag reasons when spammed)
Leaf Blower projectiles apply modified velocity which then reverts to vanilla velocity (may not be something we can control?)
Many things, like disabling pvp then quickly entering a warp command, or using a random teleportation potion causes the player to be constantly warped into the same place while webbed. This persists until PvP is disabled, the player is killed, or they leave.
Portal Gun is not controllable via PvP Manager as it is globally banned (and would be nice to have separate PvP controls for)
