Best not to report two bugs in one, because one of them will inevitably cause issues trying to properly address the report.
In this case, the trash slot thing is not a bug, it’s a limitation:
This is because of how the game is designed, if you trash an item that is exactly like what is in the trash slot, it does not tell the server you actually trashed anything, only that an item went poof in a slot (which it does for a lot of other things). By auto-clearing the trash slot, we ensure that we don’t hit this problem.
