I Just dont like it that much. Theres not that much satisfaction for completing hard goals like beating the ender dragon, or the wither other than some cool display item. also, its not on steam. why. and the combat system and PvP is just “click a bunch and you win congrats”. the ender dragon and wither bossfight is slightly more complex, but i just wish that there were was more too this game other than “build blocks and stuff fight crap get diamonds and kill a big dragon boi”, while in terraria the final boss is a freaking moon god. Terraria has classes, more than 6 armor sets, A WALL OF HUMAN FLESH AS A BOSS, hardmode, and LORE. Conclusion, Minecraft isint really that good in my opinion. If i had a tier list of every game i had on my desktop, Minecraft would be at D teir.
EDIT: If this was Twitter i would get fricking mauled lol.
EDIT 2: ELECTRIC BOAGALO: I kinda like minecraft bc servers and cool houses so dont take this post to seriously, lol.

You do mean 1.9 and later right? Cuz that’s when the combat update came out for pc.

On a technical level, yes and no. 1.9 was the first version to see all of the core combat changes implemented, but besides that, it was pretty barebones. 1.16 in its current state I’d argue is the best way to play combat in the newer version, bringing lots more to the table across multiple updates for play on a combat perspective; tridents, crossbows, Netherite tools and equipment, Respawn Anchors, there’s a whole lot to unpack, enough to make combat in that version more appealing. The only thing I’m upset about with the update is Netherite armor providing entirely random anti - knockback for, and since it’s better than diamond armor, you’re disadvantaging yourself if you don’t use it. The randomness completely ruined crystal PvP for me since with my average luck, I can hit an opponent with a sprint hit, Speed II, and a Knockback II sword (with the goal of launching them off the ground to deal major damage via crystals or straight up end the fight with some good explosions) and they won’t go anywhere, whereas they can just normally punch me while walking or even at a standstill and I go flying (i.e. instantly die from crystals).

I really enjoy Terraria over Minecraft because of all the extra content. The many bosses to fight, the many weapons to use, the armor to wear, the gear to use… All of it really makes Terraria’s progression feel so satisfying. That feeling of getting a rare drop from an enemy, or finally crafting that one item with an incredibly convoluted crafting tree is just so satisfying. There’s just sooo much more goals to work towards in Terraria. Whenever I play MCPE, I collect iron armor, but then quickly got bored because grinding villager trades, making farms, or strip mining for diamonds and whatnot was just so boring to me. Meanwhile whenever i play Terraria i just cannot pull myself away from the screen.
Minecraft does have some merits though. The 3d makes its world feel a lot more immersive, and Minecraft builds have a lot more potential to look great. Because 2d is a lot more creatively limiting than 3d (Terraria builds are still fucking amazing though).
Although, Terraria and Minecraft are really far too different to effectively compare them; Terraria is very heavily combat focused, while Minecraft is a lot more geared towards building and creating. If you like fighting, then go Terraria, and if you like to build, go Minecraft. People can have different tastes, so if a guy says that he prefers Minecraft over Terraria, then that’s just his opinion, and its not really our jobs to force him to like Terraria.

i think there was something saying that message in build

well, since i play bedrock edition, combat in java feels super fun and way better that in bedrock editon, where the combat part of the combat update doesn’t exist; so this is based on my experience with the game.
