High damage buff, projectile damage > sword damage
[Why do you feel that this change is needed?]
Light’s Bane would do as an interesting very close range weapon, having an small and not so powerful sword but with a very strong projectile, that stays in place. Being similar to a melee bubble gun, that can also work as a viable true melee.

This would be of course, when the server properly updates to 1.4.4.
