Kaleidoscope Buff (Second Attempt)

Buff the velocity to 5 (from 4) and decrease the base damage (if needed).

[Why do you feel that this change is needed?]
In my opinion, Kaleidoscope should be the longer range but lower damage alternative to the Dark Harvest. While the Kaleidoscope’s range is already longer, it’s only by a few blocks. Buffing the velocity to 5 would make the range about 1.3 times that of the Dark Harvest.

This change may or may not make Kaleidoscope unfun and annoying to deal with, so the damage could be decreased to compensate. I’m aware whips in general are a touchy topic due to how easy they are to use, but I feel they can only contest other melee weapons like Paladin’s Hammer with specific loadouts.

Agreed. I have always tried to use kaleidoscope as a summoner Heatray, but it never works due to the crappy range. It’s good for nothing really, and I also feel like it should be buffed (its velocity ofc).

Velocity buffs dont interact with whips correctly.


Use tiki or stardust armor to increase the range of the whip, so that it can hit targets easier.
