I run a little community server and I am just trying to set up a protectable build area. I’ve noticed this server has things like that and was wondering how you go about doing it. I have tShock and assume its plugin, but at the same time there isn’t a tshock version for the latest patch and the server is still on. Is there a guide or just some simple tips somewhere? Thanks.
Edit: Thanks for all the responses. I got enough of a solution to get the server running on tshock with current patch which is fine. My server provider appearntly doesn’t allow for older build so couldn’t get the mobile crossplay going. gonna have to get something else for that later. Thanks though
this server uses a mobile patch that lets players from versions superior to 1.4.0.5 join while the server is running in 1.4.0.5, if that’s what you mean
Well the fact that you can’t break any of the buildings at spawn and in lobby’s despite having the tool to do so. So it has to be some sort of plugin right?
Regions themselves are not a plugin. They’re a normal TShock command.
/region info <region name> - Provides information on all of the below.
/region set <1/2> - Selects an area for defining.
/region define <region name> - Defines a selected area as a region.
/region protect <region name> <true/false> - Regions are protected by default, but their depth may be lower than another region covering it. You will need to raise a regions Z to circumvent that.
/region z <region name> <number> - Defines a region Z. Higher Z = higher priority.
/region allow <username> <region name> - Allows added accounts to make tile changes to a protected region. Cannot edit regions directly without region perms.
/region remove <username> <region name> - Removes an added account from a region.
/region allowg <group name> <region name> - Allows all users of a specified group to make changes to a region.
/region removeg <group name> <region name> - Removes an added group from a region.
Most of these could be intuitively learnt by doing /region 1/2/3/4 for a list of subcommands.
oh right i guess more of what i meant was I have tshock, but tshock hasn’t updated yet to .1.4.2.3 so I can’t log onto my server until it does. But if this server is running tshock i was wondering why I could log on even though I am on current patch.
And by extension, how would i enable that for my server.
