How do I type an item in the chat?

I’ve have seen many players do it even new ones and I have been wondering how do they do it?, is it some kind of crew ability? ( Please no bully this is the first time I’m playing multipaler )

The first example of sending images of items is a PC-only thing.

First, open your inventory, then the chat box, hover your cursor over the item you want to send to the chat box, then hold down Alt and click the item.
It should display the item within the chat box.

Another alternate and more versatile way is by typing [i:<item ID>]
For example: [i:193], the Obsidian Skull. Obsidian_Skull

Yes, it does.
You just input that text format into the chat box and it’ll work.
