How add persons in phase chat?

I remember seeing someone add someone on the aforementioned page, but will I be able to do it too? And if I can do it, how do I do it? I just know that anyone can do it, you don’t need to be an admin…

While on Phase, Click this plus sign next to the “People” tab and enter their Phase username

When i use that and when i write the name, nothing happens
