This suggestion is more just to really help chat not get flooded as much while you are playing the game, as it can be annoying to miss a message from a fellow player in Survival because someone said a few things in a different dimension, which is really what happens a lot.
I feel like this shouldn’t only be applied to survival. Having it in other dimensions would be rather nice.

Yeah, it really is worse in Survival because you can miss really important messages like a natural boss spawn, the traveling merchant, or something else like it, but this would work anywhere really.
