getting crew

Ok so 3 years ago i made a account and linked my steam account to it so i could get crew. I tried to link that same steam account to a different account on the game and it doesn’t work, it says “this account is already used!” is it a way for it to be unlinked?

Isnt having multiple accounts against the rules?
Also why not just use the old account instead of making a new one
