Prologue
Because I was touching too much grass my parents drove with me to their friends to do from Dec 25 - Dec 28 nothing.
I read the Harry Potter books in English which I got as a present on Dec 21 and played minecraft and terraria. When going to DG on the friend’s wifi on my mobile client, I did not want to go to pvp on mobile as I now did only PVP on PC. Zombies did not work as it crashed all the time. I didn’t care anymore about DTP after the XP efficiency change except vote loot so I went only for some minutes to PVE.
How I came to survival
So I played a bit on pve and was on discord and phase much as you may have seen in Report a Player. I don’t go looking for trouble. Trouble usually finds me. If you wonder.
At one monent I went survival because I heard talks which sounded like hacks. Then I stayed and played survival on Dec 26. One day earlier I didn’t really play there but recorded a video of a griefer.
First steps
After I stayed in survival for a long time it was already monday, so I tried to get weapons. At the beginning I looked in the trash cans. I found a diamond staff and when killing a monster I got an ant teeth like sword. I had no defence and just 100 HP so everything just one hit me. In the trash cans I got a pwnhammer.
Getting weapons
I tried to get some money. I just looked for money lying on the ground. Every 20 silver or so I typed /spawn to save the money. One turner came when someone offered summoner emblem and breaker blade for 3 gold. I had 7 gold so I didn’t say no to the offer. With the breaker blade equipped I fought now some monsters.
Getting HP
Then I looked for life crystals. I died many times without any luck finding crystals. Then someone showed me their farm. I saw 4 life crystals. As farms were not claimed I tried to get those but accidentally broke a conveyor belt. I gave the belt to the user as I cannot survive to fix that by myself and wrote my error in chat. As a thank the user gave me enough life crystals to get up to 400 HP.
Getting mobility
Then I saw that I was not mobile for the stage. I tried to get wings on Dec 27 now after having a good night. I went until 5 feathers from harpies but I did not believe that I could slay wyverns for soul of flight. So I had to find another idea. I had to farm 40 gold coins to buy jetpack from steampunker. I saw this trick: enter /warp locean break all stars and shells enter /warp rocean break all stars and shells and then sell them. Each star and shell sold for 10-20 silver. Also there was the present loot. The circles to hang on the wall from presents sold for if i recall correctly 50 silver each. I bought a bug net to also sell critters. Also I collected loot from the bottom of the pool where some were playing hide n seek. After getting 40 gold I could fly with my new jetpack.
Getting armor
I had at that time only 1 defence from rain hat and another 1 from zombie hand cuff, so I tried to get armor. I excluded the metals as fishing takes too long now. I cut first some cacti to get cactus armor. Then I cut pearlwood trees and replanted them to make pearlwood armor. Pearlwood armor did not change much so I had to think further.
Jungle set was too hard due to moths and turtles etc. Obsidian, shadow or crimtane did not work because you had to refight eow or boc even when I got demonite and crimtane from eocs.
The sea shell accessory I got after being invited to fight eoc in water. The shield of cthulhu served as an important mobility accessory next to the jetpack.
Hellstone was a bit hard due to red devils dealing somehow 20% less damage than imps (?!) even when I could bomb hellstone. Also if a lava slime was slain a full lava tile spawns.
Necro was just OK to get as the dungeon was not hardmode as plantera was still alive, so I went first to get 150 bones. I died less than ten times getting the bones. Then I died 4 times in spider cave to get 135 webs.
Getting tools
While trying to find metals to improve my pickaxe someone gave me a mithril pickaxe which could also mine pearlstone, right after I crafted my silver pickaxe.
I thought before trying to get hell pickaxe took too long time and hardmode ores too because you had to rely on fish luck to get the same metal over and over. I had problems getting crystal shards that hung on hallowed hardened sand blocks and hallowed sandstone. I could mine them but they did not drop. So the mithril pickaxe present was a save.
About axes I did not care as there were no tree types that could not be mined with starting axe, even stone trees were able to be mined with copper axe.
Slowly catching up
Now with necro armor and a part of the spider fangs set, in particular both staves, I farmed spider fangs for the armor. Da Creeper helped me and suddendly no black recluses spawned. I may have not noticed a possible “the dark and light spirits go away” message but someone told me hardmode disappeared. I gave my voodoo doll I did not need and then wof was spawned. However it drove at like 480 km/h so it took some tries while I went for dinner. I resumed my farming and could finally complete my spider set.
I had many life crystals and much money so I bought for about 70 gold a mushroom spear. As final thing because I had both shard types and 37 souls of light I went to get souls of night. I died plenty of times in underground corruption crimson tundra to get 7 souls of night. But with assistance of another player and mining a more straight down tunnel I could get the souls and finally crafted Dao of Pow.
Epilogue
After reorganizing the portable storages and selling unnecessary items I screenshotted my t inv inventory and left survival.
I cannot continue in this reset as on Dec 28 we will come back and I have more to do. It was more an exception that I could play on 2 days on survival (3 if you count on sunday me recording a griefer) because it is holidays and at home even in holidays I have more to do, e. g. at least going to my granny and reading, exercising and playing cards and walking outside but we drove to friends to do nothing.
Today at 12 PM my mother realized that exercise is important so we went to a 90 minute walk if you worry about me.
From what I heard on Discord, da Creeper could also successfully catch up and I thank everyone who helped me for their help.
