attempting to join the server with my username “AeriZio” simply results with the text “Checking ip: complete” and stays stuck like that. because of this i am unable to play on the server with my main character, although if i join the server with any other character (provided it isn’t named AeriZio) it works fine. any help with this would be nice

The problem isnt your username. If you are stuck in the screen “Checking Ip:Complete”, then you might need to restart your internet/wifi/router. I’ve experienced the same situation you are in and that’s what I did, a simple restart. I think there are more elaborate explanation to this but its best to try it out if it works for you.
