I can’t join build, I’m on the EU region. It seems those in the US region can connect to it just fine, but I don’t know how to join the US region.

Which region are you in? The EUA server is out of date, try joining the UE server (t.dark-gaming.com)
That’s how I join dark gaming and I’m still placed on the EU server
you use IP: t.dark-gaming.com and Port: 7777?,If you are not using it this way, you are not on the UE server that is updated.
Try create the server in terraria with t.dark-gaming.com Port: 7777 on the online page in terraria ,for join in updated server
try typing /who on the server to see if you are really in the UE region, btw I use this same entry and I have no problems

Try to join using this IP us-tx-1.t.dark-gaming.com
