Except abilities are global. Map makers make… maps. Not removing functionality that exists. They balance their maps according to that specification.
Unsure what you intend to say by that, are you saying it’s wrong how people can have fun doing that?

just make it like not global?
and no, i just think that its not fun to do that, and some map makers make certain things easier (like buying hp) so people dont use abilities.
players can also just vote for a different map if they dont like one that bans abilities.
or maybe just make ability bans available to private/custom-only maps.

Except maps are not built for their designers, they are built for the players. Whether you find something fun isn’t relevant.
Unless they don’t know how, or they’re playing with others who like that map (but don’t use the ability that is banned). It’s a one-sided change that has no actual benefit to the game. If you don’t like that ability, don’t use it. Why do you need to stop others from using it?

That would be a separate suggestion. And keep in mind those lobbies are limited now.
