Anyone here is/has been involved in a scouting program, for example, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc
Can be any country for any period of time
I was in boy scouts for 4 years before the troop got dissolved and we got added to another troop.
Boys scout in 5th and 6th grade elementary.
Btw, are you Filipino?
No, I am white American
Why do you ask?
Nothing really, I didn’t know scouting programs were common on the states sorry Hahahaha
Im in the tier above scouts (Explorers) in the uk
Yes I was in Boy Scouts for 4 years. It disbanded, and then as a summer job I was a helper for a counselor.
In the states it’s called venturing, basically high adventure scouts, and it allowed girls since like 1957
Idk when explorers allowed girls in but it has for a while i think
I was in cub scouts for ~3 years
when I moved away from there, I just stopped doing it…
Ye I’m actually an Eagle Scout. All the camping trips were pretty fun. Most importantly it teaches you to work hard towards a goal, I’d probably not be the same without it.
I should get back into scouts. perhaps the local church ward has one.
this might be me but ive never seen boy/girl scouts outside of media. idk maybe they arent a thing where i live?
Same here! Got my Eagle in May, officially recognized in August, that’s very cool!
What level is eagle scouts, in the uk its beavers, cubs, scouts, explorers, networkers and then leaders i think
Congrats! I know how much work it took.
ye im in boy scouts
i hate pretty much 4/5 of the kids there (most annoying loud 10 - 11 year olds )
some camp outs are pretty chill tho
On my first campout, there was a MASSIVE thunderstorm. everyone else (boys and girls) was freaking out in the many small & moist cabins while I was laughing heavily with enjoyment.
God knows how young I was at the time but I was at most 11.
It was unbelievably cold the next day.
interesting… very interesting…
