Alternate /loadout command/functionality for items dimension

Because of the “new feature” that was mentioned, /loadout won’t save anymore. To bypass this, how about an alternate /loadout that instead saves the loadout to a set of chests in your inventory, and then you could take the items out of the chest yourself? Or maybe require players to delete everything in their inventory first, and then have the server give everything to you without deleting anything?

Unfortunately Terraria chests and items in general can’t contain NBT data like in Minecraft

This would require intentionally filling it with trash to simulate skipping air slots

Don’t need to, it’s only an idea of a workaround and not a full solution to the issue

The only other solution to this that I see is… well… tell ReLogic to revert the change and why they should do it?

actually the change was the reaction to a long running bug where the server can overwrite the player’s inventory. In fact, loadouts runs off this exploit.

While there many legitimate use cases, there are also many malicious use cases. In the end it was a bug and had to be fixed

Never thought it was actually a bug
