I think all of you know these two from Minecraft and perfectly know how they works.
I guess, zombies was taken from Cave game too (if you dont know, there’s servers with this gm, but there’s also gates but anyway)
Sky wars realisation help you can take from terraria.tk server
You spawn on edge island with few loots and your target get to center
Center has more chests/crates
You can add also team sky wars for 2-4 ppl
Bed wars is game where you should buy things for money, gain from your island, additional islands and center and destroy enemy bed (respawn point) and then kill all other team members
The problem with your ideas is just after reading them… AHHHHHHHHHH MY BRAIN HURTS
The fact that terraria is 2d vs Minecraft which is 3d makes a lot of difference. For one, there wouldn’t be a way to make all the islands fairly located if center had more loot.
Though i do agree that a gamemode like skywars should be added if it was worked on and made actually good.
I don’t think begging for votes is going to do much. Votes are much more limited than likes, so as a result votes would most likely be reserved for ideas that are well fleshed and thought out, and people would think would be a good addition to the server.
Building on this point, how would this at all be balanced without elaborate use of wiring, plugins, or something else? With only 2 axes to work with, Skywars could only most feasibly fairly be a 1 on 1.
This. Dark Gaming is most known for the Items Dimension because it doesn’t have a content creator propping it up. More unique minigames would give people reasond to play on Dark Gaming specifically because of the experience they can’t get anywhere else.
I myself was actually going to suggest this, but I realized just copying other servers probably isn’t a great idea. It takes much effort to create a new Gamemode, so I think making an entirely new and unique one would be more fun and interesting. However, keep in mind new gamemode suggestions probably won’t be considered/processed until GunGame (see Texdja’s suggestion) is finished.
The difference between the two games which makes this a bad idea is that Minecraft is three-dimensional: you can space the islands equally far apart and far from the center without giving one team a disadvantage. In Terraria, there are two dimensions. Either there would be two-team matches (which, in my opinion, wouldn’t be particularly fun) or some teams are in better positions than others; a team below the center island would have to climb up and around it while easily being ambushed by the players who start at a higher altitude. If all the islands were at similar heights, this would bring the issue of some islands being farther from the center than others. If there was an island above the center, the player(s) who spawn(s) on that island would be disadvantaged by not only screen resolution but the lower vertical block reach impeding their ability to speedbridge, or they would be able to jump down and therefore have a far easier time reaching the center island depending on height and mechanics. If there were no center island, bedwars would be skywars with shops and a nearly irrelevant respawn mechanic. Islands at different altitudes would still be unequal.
Skywars could work, but wouldn’t it be better to suggest an actual gamemode complete with thought-out mechanics or at least a bare minimum of thought put into its costs, buyable items, etc to flesh out the suggestion and make it, well, a suggestion rather than simply say you want Terraria skywars with mechanics similar to those of another server essentially just ripping off that server?
A simple “This will be a rework instead of a copy” works, instead of “REWORK” spelled line-by-line
They’re both trying their best to understand what you’re trying to say, but we have to have assumptions because of vague phrases(missing pronouns, inconsistency, etc)
Can you please tone down your passive-aggresion? It doesn’t help anyone and it just tarnishes your reputation
