Trading System - Usability Update

In between some of the other developments I decided to look over what was built from previous updates. The DTP is our oldest system around and the interface is certainly showing its age. I’ve decided to use some of the work previously intended for the replacement system and instead greatly reduce the scope down to a QoL update. This means no big new features and no requiring any resets. Instead it will just remove the rough edges of the existing dated system and improve overall usability.

Here’s an outline of what’s being done:

Updated UI with Dark Mode

Removal of System Banks

The system banks have outlived their usefulness and no longer serve a purpose, as a result these will be entirely removed as a concept.

Clearer per day DP gain limits

Your personal daily limit will be now be more prominently visible so you can see how much you have left to earn for the day.

Login Integration

The login page will now be login.dark-gaming.com like our other services.

Removal of Shop

The shop for now will be retired and removed. It is intended that it would be able to be replaced by something more like this one from a prior post, with items that are not obtainable from anywhere else:

Removing XP Efficiency

The XP Efficiency bar will be removed. Same with the shop, this may be re-implemented as XP Boost as shown here in future:

Sellable Items

Items can be sold to the system for small amounts of DP:

The system will not buy all types and rarities at once, instead there is a rotation and it will be up to the user whether they wait to sell or try to sell them to someone else.

Limit Accidental Deletions

Confirmation prompts will be added to all permanent actions, such as deleting items:

Removal of Suggest Page

This page isn’t used anymore and there is likely enough items as it is in the system.

Fixes to Certain Names being Buggy

In the current system some people’s names interfered a bit with the ability for others to see their inventory, this is being addressed.

Behind the Scenes changes

On top of the visible ones above, there will also be a handful of changes to how it operates under the hood.
