Nah, I’d say you’re Light Orange or Bright Yellow at least. I don’t think you’re the best, but you’re still really good.

Possibly, but wouldn’t it change a lot based on who was on (killing noobs vs getting killed by pros)

Like, a relatively bad person could have a great Elo score by just killing people who are worse than them and logging out whenever someone good joins.

Implement An Elo system based on duels.

People with similar Elo levels are matched-up.

Uh… I mean, I’m a decently old player at this point unless you’re going exclusively by join date for some reason, but I think you’re a bit biased from our duels. I get absolutely drilled by anyone who’s actually good at PvP, as seen in times I fought against including but not limited to: u0a -iwni-, Filip-P, beetleeye1602, and FAdadadada (either in FFA or an organized one on one).

The thing is, though, if matchmaking prioritizes elo ranking over just a quick match, anyone might end up searching for a while before they end up finding someone around their elo level. And besides, if they’re outside of their elo bracket in terms of their own skill, just a few proper matches would easily put them back in place.

Yeah well you steamrolled me, that’s true, but even if you lose to top-tier players that doesn’t mean you’re bad. The few times I’ve seen you in FFA you got 40 killstreaks easily and killed Solar, who’s also a good PvPer, multiple times.

Sure, I just made it color-coded so that it wouldn’t be confusing (since this is a relative scale, whereas the other one extends to people who aren’t in DG)

Also, for reference, I’d say I’m somewhere between Green and Yellow, so you would be better than that at least.

C- = Light Blue, Blue, Bright Blue
C = Light Green, Green, Bright Green
C+ = Light Yellow, Yellow, Bright Yellow
B- = Light Orange
B = Orange
B+ = Bright Orange
A- = Light Red
A = Red
A+ = Bright Red

Don’t they just rely on the other ranks? Sure, but if you want to use the letter system in any way, this isn’t meant to replace it at all, I just thought it would be cool to make my own.

This is a good idea, we’re thinking of adopting a system similar to this on the PvP Lounge, and this has also got me thinking a bit more on the potential elo reflections on the DG Discord and similar so thank you for the idea!
I’m hoping you don’t mind taking such heavy inspiration from the post, but I’ll modify it appropriately so that it’s not straight up being ripped off from you to begin with.
