Well, Solar Flare isn’t a bad pick by any means. Yeah, it’s been beaten hard by the nerf bat, but at the same time it’s still not the worst thing you could use because of its passive damage reduction and regeneration. In FFA, it’s great because most of FFA is chaos around spawn, the competent players going tooth and nail with each other in the top left corner of the map, and people spamming while looking for fights to clean. Since there’s lots to worry about and just as much time can be spent picking fights as spent finding them in the first place, the passive bonuses from Solar Flare are really nice.
