Someone made a ban appeal fully in Spanish and the appealer understands English because the replies fit to the questions.

Or they both used a translator, possibly

Wish they did that for their appeal and replies as well.

Since we passed 1k replies, I wonder if we can hit 1 day or even 1 week without posting anything here. Then after either a day or week passes, we continue.

Fun Fact: even if you use the password “password”, you’d still be protected because of Salting(and/or Peppering)

Most websites store their passwords in the form of hashes. A irreversible gibberish-er. The best part about this system is one tiny change results in a big one. For example: password hashed with SHA256 algorithm gives you
5E884898DA28047151D0E56F8DC6292773603D0D6AABBDD62A11EF721D1542D8
and p4ssword gives you
eca8e05d94c236e78c389e15e1cad71ff9326bdfa5e1d79d92766f38414e66e5

every time you put password into SHA256 you get the same result. So without Salting, once you see that hash you know it’s equivalent to password.

“Salting” is the process of adding “salt”(random bits) to the password before it’s hashed. Because a tiny change results in a big one, this means multiple people can use password but have different hashes

tl;dr: even if you use a really unwise password you might still be secure

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to mention. The main difference between Salting and Peppering is that the “pepper” isn’t stored, while salt is

Actually depends, If the character minimum limit is 8, that would be correct, howeber, if there is 4 character minimun, then any 4 word letters its enought(If someone with pass cracker knows about it) , If some random person is the one that wants to crack your password, then 1234 will be a bad password, or any number combination like 1111, 2222, 3333, 0000, ETC…

In sumary,

If someone normal wants to crack your password, common things like “Password” “1234” “Your birthday” will make them a bad password

If someone who knows about passwords crackers, Any password with no multiple characters, (Like normal words, or number combinations without letters) Will be the same, easy as the examples of before, if yes, the password strength will be a little higher, Its better to use multiple symbols,
The password cracker one only applies if the service doesn’t has any type of encriptation/codification system for passwords.

Also as a side note, The topic is dying why?
Well the strange replies with 5 words are returning, and also there are several people that stopped posting here, without counting that we had gone more off-topic than before, it is finally the time to Die of the Comment frenzy?

The best password is “incorrect”, because if you use the wrong password, it’ll say: incorrect password or your password is incorrect.
