When I try to edit a post (aged 30+ days or something like that), I just can’t. The edit button isn’t even there. Is this a bug? If not, why wouldn’t I be able to edit my own post?

As you said, it is over 30 days old. After 30 days of its posting, it can’t be edited anymore.
