Ideas for Duel

Here’s just some quality-of-life changes I think most people would like:

-Add at least one more map to Duel, this doesn’t have to be a new one, it could just be one copied from the PvP duel arenas.

-Have a short intermission time between rounds, during which players can vote for one of these maps, instead of having it be automatically selected.

-Have both players heal to max health upon entering a match.

-Permabuff most potion buffs, like how it is in PvP FFA (this one is debatable)

-If Duels eventually becomes a “real” gamemode like Zombies, then there will probably be a lot more Guests and Members playing it. I suggest that there should be some kind of quick-loadout that you can apply easily (like a chest) that is removed at the end of the match (that would be available to Guests as well). Without this, it’s likely there might be a lot of people fighting against new players who just jumped in the pool with a copper shortsword.

-There could also be more loadout chests for members to save their loadouts in to quickly swap to (in intermission).

In 1.3, there was a duels system which is now removed. Consider these features of the old duels system:

  • The amount of health each player has is adjustable.
  • Each player can be provided with a certain amount of lives in a duel.
  • You could invite more than one player to a duel.

Those sound good as well, why was this removed?

It was removed when 1.4 was released. By that point, it was decided that it’d be replaced by the gamemode as well.
