This is the exact same problem happening to me. I’m a 1.4 player, different ports doesn’t work, terraria.dark-gaming.com doesn’t work, and the normal port with t.dark-gaming.com doesn’t work.
When I use different ports, it just stops at Connecting to (bunch’a numbers).
When I use terraria.dark-gaming.com, it also stops at lost connection and same with different ports.

No, still says lost connection, lemme see if different ports with that IP does something.
Nvm still says connecting to (IP thingy)

Nvm, playin DG! Just had to update Terraria from 1.4 to v1.4.0.2.

Do /i rod in any dimension other than survival and zombies.
Make sure you have 1 slot in your inventory open too.
